Adriano Cassonello & Rosanna Grasso

Tettnang

Some houses simply have a soul. As far back as 1722, a guesthouse is recorded on this very spot, right on the old country road from Tettnang to Lindau: the Grüner Baum — the “Green Tree.” For almost 300 years, travellers and locals have stopped in here; the beer garden under the chestnut trees became known far and wide, and the herringbone parquet from 1928 still lies beneath the tables today. Since 2025, Adriano Cassonello and his wife Rosanna Grasso have run the Grüner Baum — and made a dream come true: their first place of their own. The two come from Sicily, and what reaches the table is classic Italian cuisine in all its range: pizza fresh from the oven, pasta and lasagne, fish and meat. We still carry the tree from the old name in our logo — for the roots of this house, and for everyone who stops in. Come and see us. At i Cassonello, you're welcome like friends.
